The next time you post, try to keep your lines to a minimum. Social experts agree that the following lengths are the best:
Twitter: The limit is 140, but studies show that the ideal length of a tweet is 100 characters. Buddy media research shows that tweets shorter than 100 characters get a 17% higher engagement rate.
Facebook: Facebook allows 63,206 characters, yet, BlitzLocal found that 40 characters is best for posts. In their study BlitzLocal found that 40-character posts received 86% higher engagement.
