Pat MaleyChairman of the BoardPartner, Wiegers Capital Partners
Mr. Maley has over thirty years experience in sales, marketing, and general management. In 2004, Mr. Maley joined Wiegers Capital Partners in conjunction with the acquisition of KPA, LLC. From 1994-2003, he was the CEO for three high tech companies: Dante Software, Collaboratek, and Client Systems. Prior to Client Systems, Mr. Maley held senior sales management positions with Sequent Computer Systems and Intel. He is a director of DG2L Ltd., D'lance Golf Inc., and KidsTek. Mr. Maley holds a B.S. from the US Naval Academy and an MPA from the University of Colorado.
Vane ClaytonPresident and Chief Executive Officer, KPA
Mr. Clayton is President and CEO of KPA, joining the company in September 2006. He brings KPA 15 years of experience in successfully building profitable, growth companies as President/CEO. He has in depth experience with professional services, software, wireless, and mobile hardware industries. He has led large and small companies in developing new products, channels, and partnerships.
Most recently, Mr. Clayton was President of ZOLL Data Systems, an enterprise software subsidiary of ZOLL Medical Corporation ($250M in Sales - NASDAQ: ZOLL). While at ZOLL, the team launched a highly successful, user-friendly .NET Tablet software application and acquired a human resource software solution to expand the suite of products offered to the ambulance & fire public safety markets. His team was able to drive efficiency throughout the organization to increase the revenue per employee 50%, from $128K to $192K in 2.5 years.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Clayton managed a sales team for Raychem ($1.7B in Sales), a division of Tyco Electronics.
Mr. Clayton holds a B.S. in Agricultural/Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
George WiegersCo-Founder and Partner, Wiegers Capital Partners
Mr. Wiegers is co-founder of Wiegers Capital Partners and has over thirty years of experience in the investment banking business as a managing director of Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. and previously as a partner at Lehman Brothers and Dean Witter. He currently serves as a director of Darby Overseas Investors Ltd. and Hart Energy Publications. He is a past director of Dillon Read, American City Business Journals, Pulte Corporation, Weatherford International, Esquire Inc., and Technimetrics Inc. He is also a trustee of the University of Colorado Foundation. Mr. Wiegers graduated from Niagara University and received an MBA from Columbia University.
E. Alexander WiegersCo-Founder and Managing Partner, Wiegers Capital Partners
Mr. Wiegers currently represents Wiegers Capital Partners' interests on the board of Hart Energy Publications. Prior to WCP, he was an associate of Western Growth Capital, where he was involved in the financing and corporate development of Qdoba Restaurants and Mountainsmith. Mr. Wiegers holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado and is a Certified Financial Analyst.
Patrick J. WelshCo-Founder, Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe
Mr. Welsh co-founded WCAS and focuses on investments in the information/business services industry. Previously, he spent eight years with Citicorp Venture Capital and was President at the time of his departure. Mr. Welsh graduated from Rutgers University and received an M.B.A. from UCLA.
Kip PrahlFounder, KPA
Mr. Prahl founded KPA in 1986 and was its CEO until 2002. He continued as Chairman of KPA until Wiegers Capital acquired KPA in 2004. Prior to KPA, Mr. Prahl was CEO of California Oil Recyclers, Inc. He started his career in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University.
Mr. Williamson joined KPA as a staff engineer in 1990 and progressed with various leadership roles, serving as President and CEO, from 2002-6. Prior to KPA, he was an Army officer, where he commanded several engineer platoons. Mr. Williamson holds a B.S. in Engineering Management from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
