KPA Management Team

Vane Clayton,

Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Clayton is President and CEO of KPA, joining the company in September 2006. He brings KPA 15 years of experience in successfully building profitable, growth companies as President/CEO. He has in depth experience with professional services, software, wireless, and mobile hardware industries. He has lead large and small companies in developing new products, channels and partnerships.

Most recently, Mr. Clayton was President of ZOLL Data Systems, an enterprise software subsidiary of ZOLL Medical Corporation ($250M in Sales - NASDAQ: ZOLL). While at ZOLL, the team launched a highly successful, user-friendly .NET Tablet software application and acquired a human resource software solution to expand the suite of products offered to the ambulance & fire public safety markets. His team was able to drive efficiency throughout the organization to increase the revenue per employee 50%, from $128K to $192K in 2.5 years.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Clayton managed a sales team for Raychem ($1.7B in Sales), a division of Tyco Electronics.

Mr. Clayton holds a B.S. in Agricultural/Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.



Gabe Orvis,

Vice President, Controller
Mr. Orvis is Vice President, Controller, joining the company in April 2007. He brings to KPA 12 years of finance experience in the industries of software, technology, manufacturing and agri-business. Mr. Orvis has worked for and audited private and public companies and is a licensed CPA in the State of Colorado.

Mr. Orvis has held several controller positions, recently at Intrado, Inc. where he held senior finance positions as corporate controller, in charge of SEC reporting and supporting a sales group responsible for $284MM in contracts, providing all pricing and negotiations support.

Prior to Intrado, Mr. Orvis was a Senior Manager with KPMG in the Boulder, CO office. Mr. Orvis holds a B.S. in Political Science, a B.S. and Masters of Accounting from the University of Florida.


Eric Schmitz,

Vice President, Product and Business Development
Mr. Schmitz researches and develops changes and additions to KPA's service offerings. He joined the company in 1995 as a field engineer, rising to Manager of KPA's Western region before advancing to his current position.

Prior to joining KPA, Mr. Schmitz worked as a field chemist and project manager for a hazardous waste disposal contractor at military installations across the US. He oversaw a team responsible for the sampling, characterization, and shipment of wastes ranging from surplus rocket fuel to tritium-contaminated Q-tips used to clean nuclear warheads.

Mr. Schmitz earned his B.S. in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California at Davis in California.



Bill Duclos,

Vice President, Operations
Mr. Duclos has over 20 years of proven success in leading operations, managing customer relationships and account direction, including business process reengineering in start-up to Fortune 100 companies. Prior to joining KPA Mr. Duclos was VP of Operations for Convergys Corporation for their Government and New Market Division. His responsibilities included the USPS and Medicare Accounts. Prior to Convergys he worked at Finali Corporation and Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and managed clients, including First Data Corp., Cendant, Saab, Toshiba, Maxtor, EDS Dealer Systems, Philip Morris, Nestle' and Pepsi. Mr. Duclos has also led business development teams that successfully sold over $104 million in customer care solutions.

While at Finali, Mr. Duclos was responsible for developing and implementing the company's operational infrastructure, and for managing ongoing operations, including client relationships, operational delivery, HR, Training and P&L's.

At EDS, Mr. Duclos was the Western Regional Client Delivery Executive responsible for 7 customer contact centers with over 1,300 employees and an annual budget of $67 million. His responsibilities included all client relationship management, operations and business development.

Mr. Duclos earned his B.A. in Finance Risk and Insurance from Michigan State University.


Brian Taylor,

Vice President, Human Resources
Mr. Taylor is Vice President, Human Resources at KPA. Brian is responsible for establishing overall KPA policy and strategy related to compensation, benefits, labor policy, executive and employee staffing, employee relations, ethics, company culture/environment and human resource compliance efforts.

Previously Mr. Taylor worked at Centex Destination Properties, a Fortune 200 company, where he was in charge of Human Resources for the West Division which covered the western half of the United States. He authored and implemented their Performance Management System across the division. In addition, he has worked for national companies like Home Depot, Sodexho Marriott and the largest REIT in the United States, AIMCO.

Mr. Taylor earned two Bachelor of Arts Degrees from the University of Northern Colorado in Human Relations and Journalism.
