OSHA Hexavalent Chromium Standards

Hex Chromium is found in some automotive paint pigments, and is encountered by technicians while painting and sanding. This is an especially big hazard when refinishing older vehicles as the concentrations were much higher in older paints. This booklet, provided by OSHA, is intended to provide information about the Hexavalent Chromium standards. However, this booklet is not itself a standard or regulation, and it creates no new legal obligations.
