New myKPAonline features being released in Mayby Peter Zaidel, product managerGreetings from the products desk! We’ve been receiving a lot of requests for new features in myKPAonline in recent months and I’m happy to report that you’ll be seeing 4 of these new and exciting features appearing on your myKPAonline dashboard this May. Electronic Document Management SystemIn addition to the minutes, compliance reports and summaries you’re able to access now, we’re introducing an online electronic document management system. Many of the documents available in your binders and yellow box will also be available in an electronic format right from your dashboard. Furthermore, as required by OSHA, many of these documents will also be available to all of your employees through the MSDS and Training login from any computer. Complete MSDS ManagementWe’re enhancing your access to the over 50,000 Material Safety Data Sheets in our system. You’ll continue to have the same fast and simple access to your facility’s chemical inventory, but now users with administrative access will be able to take better control of the system. New management features will include the ability to instantly add a new chemical to your inventory, update an MSDS, upload a new MSDS and administer the locations of these chemicals on your chemical inventory. Online Training ManagementIf you manage training at your facility, you’re going to love this feature! You’ll now have the ability to review all of the training completed by your employees from our catalog of online courses. The summary includes a review of the employees who have taken training as well as a summary of all the training topics completed. If you’re a group level user you’ll also get a summary of all of the online training across the facilities you manage. Compliance ComparisonThis last one is just for our group users. Have you ever wondered how one location in your group compares to another? Or how one facility compares to the group average? Well now you can quickly compare your facilities or regions with a few clicks. This new tool will allow you to compare key metrics such us compliance scores, number of employees trained or average safety committee meetings attendance. Look for all of these features in myKPAonline this month and keep those suggestions coming. We have an aggressive development plan for the remainder of 2010 and beyond to bring you more exciting features to help manage your compliance and reduce your losses. If you’re not a current KPA client, please contact us and we’ll be happy to show you a demo of our online systems. Also don’t forget to register for a webinar about the benefits of using online systems to manage your compliance presented by Eric Schmitz, KPA’s VP of Products and IT. |
