EPA Emissions Standards: Commercial Oil-Fired Boiler Compliance. Are you subject to the EPA’s new requirements?
 
Effective March 21, 2014 commercially operated boilers may be subject to new EPA registration and service requirements. A boiler uses controlled flame combustion to burn coal and other substances such as oil or biomass to produce steam or hot water, which is then used for energy or heat. Depending on the size of your boiler, the new requirements may include a one-time energy assessment and periodic tune up of your current oil-fired boiler by March 21, 2014.

Inspection Finds Repeat Violations at Ohio Auto Finishing Plant
 
Lapmaster Precision Finishing Services Inc. was issued 11 safety and health violations by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration following a complaint inspection. The inspection found five repeat violations, including failure to provide personal protective equipment and training for workers.
